In a dental emergency, the sooner you seek treatment, the better. It is even possible to save a tooth that has been knocked out if you can get treatment within an hour. We strive to accomodate you within the same day, providing you prompt attention and compassionate care to relieve pain and begin treatment.
The middle of the night, holidays, vacations – these are the inconvenient times when a dental emergency can happen. Trying to go through your day with a missing tooth—or worse—in severe pain is unacceptable. That’s why Dentistry@ Carleton Place is here for you.
Certain dental emergencies need to be dealt with instantaneously to minimize both damage and costs. For instance, as soon as a tooth is knocked out, its root starts to die. The window of time to successfully reinsert the tooth is rather small.
The same holds true for cracked or broken teeth—immediate treatment is very important to save the tooth and prevent further damage.
Depending on your level of pain, some “dental emergencies” can wait until the next day, such as smaller toothaches or hot and cold sensitivity. Still, reducing your pain level as soon as possible is a good idea.
